And a BIG thank you to Brother Larry and Gerlinde for all their hard work as well. Without you it would have never been possible. P.S. Brother Larry even has a ball cap the says Fishing with Brother Larry How cute is that?

My New Bedroom

When I was in Amish country I had found the bedspread and bed ruffele that I have been looking for. It is so pretty and it matches my freashly painted walls perfectly. I thank the Lord for a HARD working husband that gives us the "SWEET" little extra things that we want or need. I feel very blessed each time I go into my new bedroom. I thought you might enjoy peaking.

Thank God for Special People

I just want to Praise the Lord for what He did for our family this week. On Thrusday I was on my way to the doctor and the power on the dashboard in my van went out. It was raining and the speedometer and rph gage and the gas gage was moving back and forth as fast as the windsheild whipers. My faith was really tested as I had visions of myself not making it to the doctor or being able to pick up my kids. As Bill stated Wednesday night I had a very good prayer life at that momement. I got myself to the doctor and home as carefully as I could. I'm very thankful for Mickey at Legion Auto the van was fixed and It didn't take our lives saving. I can now be on the list of the many people that turn to Legion Auto in a time of need. As I was dropping off my van I ran into another lady from GBC and she metioned that she ran into someone else as she was dropping off her car as well. What a blessing it is to have someone you trust work on your car. THANK YOU Mickey for all you do for our church family and THANK YOU most of all for what you did for the Todd family today. Thank God for special people.

A Nice Little Stay in Amish Country

This week Tuesday through Friday my friend Edith and I stayed in a sweet little Bed and Breakfast in Howe Indiana. It was so nice and relaxing. Each morning our host Karen would bring coffee to us right outside our room. There is nothing like a fresh cup of coffee that someone else made first thing on the morning. The breakfast was wonderful and the bed and breakfast was so quiet. If you are ever in the area of Howe stop by and see Karen. You won't be sorry. We had a wonderful time in Amish country. We got to relax and I wound the quilt to go on my bed. It is so pretty. I will post pics later. More pics of Amish country to come.

Fun-- Fun--- Fun

Paige and I have had so much fun since Sam and Quin have left for New York. Sunday was full with catching up with old friends in the church that Sam and I were married. Monday I was with an other friend from high school who was also in our wedding. We went to a very fancy resturant for lunch called THE CAPITAL GRILL in Yorktown followed by a full day of "girls only" shopping. It has was been years since I went shopping just because. We had a blast. Last night I finally broke down and got a perm and haircut. This afternoon Edith and I are heading to Indiana to visit the Amish for a few days. I will post pics when we get home. I really miss my boys and I can't wait until Saturday when they come home but in the mean time Iam looking forward to having FUN--FUN---FUN.

Kim's Birthday

Kim's Birthday

July 13th was Kim's 39th birthday. I'm very sorry I am just now getting around to getting the pictures posted. Linda and I gave her a little "surpise" party. It was so much fun to be an encouragement to Kim. We had cake (of course) and all her favorite fixings. Thank You to all who attended to help us make Kim's Birthday special.

What a week. We are very tired Todds. The family has been out watching fireworks or listening to concernts until after 10:00 pm all week. My kids are just not used to staying up so late. Tuesday night-fireworks. Wednesday night-fireworks and Thursday night a concert in the park with Civil War cannons and the 1812 Oversture. All this adds up to PAIGE HAS CROUP. For the last two nights Paige has needed breathing treatments every four hours around the clock. This had made me a very tired mommy. I still feel very blessed to have such a sweet little girl in our home. Thank you for everyone who has prayed for her. She is getting better and soon will be back to normal. I had a small break today. Matthew turned two and I was able to go over to his house for about an hour. Paige is very fussy and it seems that only mommy will do. I have enjoyed how cuddly she is while she is sick and the Lord has truely blessed us when that sweet little girl became ours. Thank You Lord. I feel so bad that she is sick and it has slowed her down but on the other hand she will not be little enough to hold and cuddle forever.

Fireworks Fun and Friends

This morning I called my friend Dawn with a prayer chain request. We were dicussing fourth of July plans and she invited us to see the fireworks with them in downtown Joliet tonight. When we arrived downtown it was so packed with people and the street that she told us to meeet her on was closed. We didn't think that we would ever find them and we decided to just go our own way. Just as we turned the corner my husband said "look there are a bunch of ladies standing on the corner in jean skirts". We had found them. We had so much fun. They are such a sweet family. The odds of us finding them in that crowd was very slim but God allowed us to be together. Thank You Lord. The best part about it is we got to see the fireworks with one of our preicious Sunday School kids, Amanda we love you. Thank you for watching this years fireworks with us.

Help Blogging Buddies

Well I have something I have been a little discouraged about for a while. MY HAIR!!!!!! Does anyone have any ideas????? Here are my limitation my husband wants it to stay long. He doesn't want it cut at all (but I may need a trim). It is so flat and so long and so blaa blaa. I'm a desprate friend looking for any ideas on what to do with this hair. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has felt like this. I'm open to suggestions. Maybe I'll just pull it all out.

Great America

Yesterday we went to Great America with Sam's company. To my personal shock and surprise I had a good time. Quinten road his first rollercoster and he loved it. WE didn't get there until almost 2:00pm so the boys decided that we had to close the park down. Walking and more walking and more walking. First we started the day with walking at Sunday School Soulwinning. Of course at Great America all you do is walk. With strong legs and sore calfs we all had a great day. I enjoyed the time with my family and I'm thankful for my husband who has a good job that takes us to Great America.
