Sick and Tired

Well it has been quite a day. About 10:00am this morning my husband called home and stated he could not stay at work, he was miserable. This was after my son woke up complaining of a earache. So I prepared the infirmary. Sam went to the Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy. (interesting concept you walk in to the pharmacy and you walk out with a prescription). Sam has a sinus infection and is on a prescription for 10 days. At 1:00pm we found out that Quin has a mild ear infection and is also on a prescription. Quin does not feel that bad and is determined that he is going to the field trip tomorrow. We are going out of town on Saturday (providing everyone stays healthy). Please pray that we will all be healthy enough to travel this week end. Prescriptions are supposed to work wonders. Well , two out of the four of us are sick and mom's tired. Good night!!!!!

More Easter Pictures

A Great Wednesday Night

PRAISE THE LORD!!!! the long lost camera is found. As of last Wednesday I still didn't have a camera but we had a wonderful Kings Kids. We rein acted the Easter story. The angels at the tomb were some of the boys. Page was Mary and Zack was Jesus. I think the whole thing really touched sweet little Zack's heart. He was so excited. He kept saying "Jesus is Alive." The Kings Kids program is a real blessing to so many. It is a privilege to be a part of it.

Blessing After Blessing

I have had a very blessed day I just had to share it. I started my day with breakfast with a friend. (we always celebrate Gina's b-day with breakfast.) I then came home and colored Easter eggs with two of the most wonderful children alive.
I then went to shop for a new dress with Edith (she bought me a dress for my birthday). I got a incredible deal. I got a $100.00 dress for the wedding for $22.00. It is beautiful. It's navy blue with beads on the blouse and I think it makes me feel thin. Well OK it covers my body nicely and I may not look thin but I feel thin. Anyway, as I was talking to Edith she was talking about how she really wishes she could see her 90 year old sister and her husband. They live in Des Monies, Iowa in a nursing home. It just so happens that next week my mom is taking Quin to Disney and we were looking to get away. We are going Saturday thru Tuesday to visit Des Monies and Edith is going with us. What a blessing to traveling with a sweet senior saint and getting out of town for a few days.
After I left Edith, my dear friend Linda came over with a lamb cake for my kids. The kids were so excited and I am so thankful for Linda she is so sweet. It has been a very blessed day. As we think of Good Friday and all Christ has done for us we are very thankful. I also am thankful for a very GOOD Friday.

Boys are Great********I Love Having a Girl

I had the sweetest time with my daughter today. Last night I realized that the only thing that we needed to complete her Easter dress was the shoes. Not knowing weather or not I should take her with me to purchase shoes, I decided she should try them on. Paige has never been in a shoe store. As soon as we opened the front door of the Payless Shoe Source my daughter took off running. I could not believe my eyes it was almost like she knew right where to go. She walked over to the children's section and in a matter of five minutes she had selected three or four pair of shoes that she was asking me if she could take them home with her. (At this point nothing actually fits but I don't think that she cared). After carefully directing her to the section of the store that had her size Paige began again to take many different colors and styles of shoes off the shelve and put them on her feet as she said "Oh mommy I NEED these" and "Daddy is going to think I'm so pretty in these" and "I love Dora shoes mommy." and "Mommy look at the pink ones they so pretty" I looked down on the floor of this store and my three year old is "scooping" up as many pair of shoes that her little arms can handle and saying PLEASE MOMMY, DADDY SAID YES!!!!!! After I regain my composer I inform my daughter that she can get one pair for Easter and one pair of sandals. Her eyes light up and she selects her shoes and proceeds to take my hand and head for the purses. "Mommy look a Dora purse!" I proceed to inform her she will have to ask daddy about that, and that we need to be heading for the checkout. That baby just kills me she knows how to hold that purse just like a 30 year old lady. We got home form the shoe store and she went straight to her room and put on a necklace. I personally have never been into shoes. I don't know where she gets it. Ok I will admit I LOVE purses and handbags but shoes (not really). I just love having a girly girl. I now that we have many fun years to come. Her poor daddy is in financial trouble and he doesn't even realize it.
Last night in Kings Kids we had so much fun. We acted out the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our very own Zack played Jesus and it was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. (I will post pictures if I can). I'm thankful for being able to serve in the Kings Kid Program. It is a real blessing.
Minor prayer request:
My daycare mom called and said that she thinks that she found my camera. I pray that when I see her tomorrow that it is the right camera. If she has found it a her house I will have to do a happy dance.

What To Do????? What to DO?????

Well I woke up this morning and one of my biggest fears have come true. I know you won't believe it. I'm having a hard time believing it my self.!!!!!!!! I'M GOING GRAY AHA. I never thought that I would have this problem. My grandmother died at 75 years old with her same hair color that she was born with. I called my mom only to find out that my dear mom has colored her hair for years.

I have talked to a friend of mine about high lights, perms, colors. I just don't know. There is a good side to the story. My wonderful pastor's wife is doing a lesson in Sunday School about color. Maybe she can help me decide if I should color my hair. I know it sounds silly to so people, but it is a big decision to me. So....... I'm looking for comments and suggestions from my "girlfriends". SHOULD I COLOR MY HAIR????? If so what color or maybe just highlights? Please give me ideas.

P.S. Our family has a VERY big wedding in May. and if i can't drop 100 pounds I at LEAST want my hair to look good.

I Feel so Loved

I had a WONDERFUL birthday. I'm part of the best church on the planet. I have been very overwhelmed by the love that I was shown on my birthday. All the phone calls, the encouragement and the love has been a real blessing. Thank you to all of you for every thing you have given me. I love you all.

Last night we had a great home school meeting. Miss Julie works so hard on our meeting and all the work is greatly appreciated. We talked about all the fun things that we have planned for the rest of the year. We also learned that playing games is important and a good learning experience for everyone. My husband took me out to dinner before the meeting and my birthday ended a great day.

My son and I went to the dentist today and Quin is being referred to a orthodontist. He is very nervous about the idea of braces. Pray that all goes well with that. (mom and dad are concerned about the bill for that one). The Lord is in control and I know that it will all work out with His help. We look forward to getting back to normal this week. Birthdays, doctor, and dentist have put us a little behind. May the Lord bless your day.

Ladies Conference

I know that I'm a week late on this post, but now that the computer is working I can tell everyone what a blessing the conference was to me. The conference was wonderful. The fellowship was great and the lessons were priceless. I learned how to have a happy spirit and to stay out of bitter ville. Miss Julie was the best speaker as always. She talked about the meaning of the name Mara (which means bitter). She talked about Ruth and what her name means. Ruth had a lot to over come, but she stayed true to a bitter mother-in-law and she was greatly rewarded in the end. I think some times having the privilege of being under Miss Julie all the time I take for granted what a blessing that she truly is to all of us. Julie really shined at the conference and it made me love and appreciate her ministry all the more. I was blessed by all the testimonies and I'm thankful that I had a chance to get to know everyone a little bit better. It was a GREAT conference and I love GBC. Thank you to Pastor and Julie and the Grace Baptist Church for all that you have done for me and my family and for all the work that you put in to the Ladies Conference. The Lord really spoke to my heart about a lot of things and I need to make many changes in the days ahead.
